Study & Work Program the pathway to your future

International students will experience a real Canadian work environment, improving their English skills in a communicative way. The candidate will develop their communication skills while gaining valuable work experience. The program offers an exiting way to learn English and immerse students in Canadian culture.

The Program helps students get paid positions within the service and hospitality industries. From the beginning of the program GEOS Vancouver will provide students support in job placement and preparation until the program ends.

Candidate’s prerequisites:
  • The student must be at least 19 years of age.
  • Completion of GEOS Canada’s Level 4 (High-Intermediate) Program.
  • The student must have study permit and work permit (Co-op visa) or Working Holiday visa.
  • Must enroll in our Intensive or Full-Time English Program for a minimum of 12 weeks up to a maximum of 24 weeks.
Study & Work Program Periods:

The length of the work program should be equal to or less than the study program.
  • 24 weeks Study & Work Program: 12 week study period and 12 week work period.
  • 48 weeks Study & Work Program: 24 week study period and 24 week work period.
Study & Work Program class curriculum includes:
  • 12 customer services lessons.
  • Resume creation, review and revision.
  • Interview coaching and preparation.
  • Workplace culture and office skills.
  • Certificate will be issued to the student at the end of the Program.

Accommodations:
  • Students can choose a GEOS Vancouver Homestay Program with Canadian families if the job placement is in Vancouver area.
  • Staff housing is available if the job placement is at a resort.
